Gravy train just keeps rolling on
I have just read your article on how "loyalists" are disenchanted with our politics and feel let down (News, October 14).
In the same edition, I read that the DUP and Sinn Fein have united to defeat a Bill that would curtail the salaries paid to Spads.
Strange that these are the same two parties who, it seems, can agree on nothing that matters to people here. Yet when the gravy train is threatened, it's "all for one and one for all" to keep it on track.
It's not the disenchantment of loyalists these parties should be concerned about, but the disenchantment of the rest of the electorate. Stranger still, come next year we will all troop out and vote the same people back to do exactly the same again.
