hare coursing barbarity

Weeks after a ban outlawing hare coursing in Northern Ireland, Minister John Gormley has issued a hare netting licence to coursers in the Republic.

The licence gives the go-ahead to another season of coursing cruelty.

The continuation of coursing puts even more pressure on our beleaguered hare population, which continues to be identified as a species under threat.

Hare coursing is a barbaric activity enjoyed by those who have lost all touch with a conscience.

It is an activity that pollutes our countryside with its foul stench of animal abuse. It has no role in our society.
