Help challenge sectarianism

I WOULD like to invite your readers to the 36th annual conference of the Northern Ireland Mixed Marriage Association (NIMMA), which is being held in St George's Church, High Street, Belfast on Saturday, April 16 at 10.30am.

The theme of the conference is 'double belonging', which is a title that refers to the position in society of children of mixed marriages.

We aim to show how the existence of such children is a direct challenge to sectarianism.

Our keynote speaker will be Hugh Nelson, a long-term member of NIMMA, who has contributed to the consultation process on a shared future and a bill of rights for Northern Ireland.

KEN DUNN

Chairman, NIMMA
