HET arrests are a little one-sided
Mr Denis Mayne must have a very short memory.
Basil McCrea was right calling for the opening of all the cases involving the republicans in which they killed - the three young Scottish soldiers killed 40 years ago, lured to their deaths in Ligoniel, the Abercorn, Bloody Friday, Narrow Water at Warrenpoint, Enniskillen, Tullyvallen, La Mons, Kingmills, Dropin Well, Claudy: the list goes on. These killers were never brought to justice.
Up to 1993 there were 1,926 people killed by republicans compared with 911 by loyalists (Reference: Index of Deaths by Malcolm Sutton). The HET have arrested so far 71 of which 70 were loyalist. A bit one-sided?
