Honouring the memory of popular medic

Published 22/11/2011

I REFER to The Time and The Place feature (Memories, November 9). Philip Caves was my cousin and this copy brought back many memories.

Philip carried out many child heart operations. At one stage the total per month was around 100.

Sadly, shortly after November 1977, Philip suffered a heart-attack and died. A very sad loss for his family and the medical teams at the Glasgow Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Thank you for bringing this memory to your readers.
