How could Germanwings crew stop rogue pilot?

Published 06/04/2015

No doubt John Stratton wrote his letter (Air tragedy need not have occurred, BT March 31) in good faith.

As a retired airline flight operations officer, can he explain how a cabin staff member, not doubting their ability, would know what action the pilot was taking and, if so, how would they stop them?

If the aircraft was put in a dangerous situation, could they correct it?

A rogue pilot would probably disable his attendant first.
