Hung parliament a threat to union

Published 10/04/2015

Those who want to see the United Kingdom remain intact should be concerned following the recent TV leaders' debate.

The failure of David Cameron and Ed Miliband to improve their position in the opinion polls further confirms the likelihood of a hung parliament. Given the Scottish Labour Party's poor opinion poll figures, it is likely Ed Miliband will be held to ransom by Scottish Nationalist Party left-wing leader Nicola Sturgeon. The possibility of the SNP holding the balance of power is a frightening prospect for all unionists. Northern Ireland's unionist electorate must return an experienced team of MPs with a strategic focus on strengthening the UK and protecting our British identity.
