In support of gay marriage

The debate on gay marriage is becoming so fraught with emotion that rational argument seems to have been abandoned. We do not require a traditional concept of marriage to reject polygamy as morally wrong - they are both examples of relationships where one side wields all the power. Gay marriage does not fit this description and legalising it will have no unpleasant side-effects.
