I have just read an article in the Belfast Telegraph (December 13) about the protests in Pakistan over their new rape laws, which are intended to protect women's rights.
According to the protesters, it is against Muslim teaching for women to have such rights.
I then read a letter in Writeback from Robert Bamford, protesting homosexual rights in Northern Ireland.
According to him, it is against Christian teaching for homosexuals to have such rights. Does anyone see a similarity here in intolerant thinking?
