It's not bias ... we're scared

Kevin Myers bemoaned in his column (Comment, October 26), as others have done elsewhere, the bias in favour of the Democrats that he perceives in the media and public here.

I believe Mr Myers to be mistaken. What he observes is a general revulsion among rational people everywhere when candidates who are not that bright, are woefully ignorant of the world and are full of dangerous ideas, come close to power in any dominant country.

The Republican primary season 2012 was terrifying to sane people everywhere.

It is not a bias in favour of Democrats. It's fear of the alternative.
