It's time to unite our strong bonds

I REFER to an article entitled 'Dodds cherishes link to Scotland' (News, February 13).

It was interesting to note that Nigel Dodds said, "Scotland is linked not only to England, but to Wales and Northern Ireland, because there are strong bonds across all the countries."

According to the article, Mr Dodds did not elaborate on these "strong bonds", probably because there aren't any.

Only the bond between Ulster and Scotland is strong. It is now time for unionists to be looking at a union between Scotland and Northern Ireland.
