Joris Minne food review so very distasteful

Published 08/02/2011

The Weekend magazine which accompanied Saturday's paper (February 5) contained a restaurant review by Joris Minne. I found the article to be very distasteful and offensive.

Mr Minne makes a joke about committing suicide, which, after your paper's reports last week on children taking their own lives, is a little crass and insensitive.

Much worse was his joke about his dinner being overcooked more than Chernobyl - a disaster which led to 4,000 people dying in later years through cancer and other illnesses, according to scientific reports.

I found this so offensive and disgusting. I expected much better from the Belfast Telegraph.
