Keep your mind open on parade

I refer to the letter from Liam (Write Back, July 15) in which he says he sees Orangemen using the city streets as a toilet, drinking in public, and throwing beer bottles on the ground.

Well, hold the front page for this headline news.

I think, Liam, you will find that these sort of things happen in every British and Irish city centre every Saturday night and New Year's Eve. It's unfortunate, but it's a fact.

I must also congratulate Liam for coming out to watch the parades, but it is unfortunate that he had already formed an opinion before the parades even started.
