Kenny comment was appropriate

Published 20/11/2015

Ruth Dudley Edwards is a dear soul and easily offended.

Let me assure her my comment to Mr Kenny to "butt out" was entirely in the context of his interference in Brexit.

Regarding calling him 'Edna', I am sure the slip of the tongue has happened to many people before me and will happen after me.

As for Ruth Dudley Edwards' outrageous assertion that "leaving the EU needs to address the implications for the island of Ireland", I think my suggestion "butt out" of UK affairs was appropriate.

It can be easily seen as a concerted effort to help Labour by encouraging people with "Irish Connections" living in the UK to vote Yes to stay in the EU.
