Know what is needed for this General Election

Some of your readers may be thinking of getting involved in this year's UK Parliamentary General Election, whether by standing for election themselves, acting as an agent for a local candidate or even setting up a new political party.

Others may be involved with a group or organisation that is planning to campaign on behalf of a party or candidate.

We want to ensure that everyone who gets involved knows the rules that they need to follow.

Some of these rules have changed recently and I would encourage anyone who is thinking of getting involved to visit our website, www.electoralcommission .org.uk, to make sure they know what their responsibilities are.
