Lambasting pastor smacks of hypocrisy
IT seems that open day has been declared on Pastor James McConnell by most of the columnists in the Telegraph, but Jane Graham's bracketing him along with the Tuam scandal is just about the worst (Life, June 13).
Does she not know that his church gives free meals each day to hundreds of children in Africa, many of them Muslim, as well as running an orphanage for many more? How dare she do this?
It seems it is all right to call Christian leaders anything one likes. How many of your writers dare say anything about what is going on in the name of Islam across the world, when there is such widespread torture, rape and killing of Christians?
Do they realise that Meriam Ibrahim in Sudan is facing 100 lashes in the next few days unless governments continue to protest?
