Let MMR jab go on saving lives

Why is there no genuine balance on the subject of MMR? On one hand, we have the global medical community (including bodies like the World Health Organisation), backed up by many studies, which declare the MMR vaccine is safe and the best vaccine to use against the triple scourges of measles, mumps and rubella.

On the other hand, we've a few anti-vaccination extremists who reject the scientific consensus and have decided, based on little more than anecdotes, that vaccinations are more harmful than the terrible diseases they prevent.

Sometimes, the most courageous thing to do is to take a stand on an issue and proclaim MMR is safe and saves lives.
