Let us remember poppy isn't about partisanship
AT the weekend, millions across the UK remembered the countless number of armed service members who have paid the supreme sacrifice in two World Wars and in global conflicts since.
Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, today, with the public display of the red poppy, is not about constitutional and political partisanship. It is about honouring the memory of those who stood against the tyranny of oppressive forces, whether in the guise of Nazism in the Second World War, or the terrorism that was rampant in this province.
