Let's bag the plastic

I have recently spent a very pleasant five days at Rosses Point, Co Sligo, and found it a lovely clean and friendly place. How disgusting to see, when we came back, litter and plastic bags in our hedgerows and around stores etc. Come on, fellow citizens, please catch yourselves on.

Follow the example of the Republic and carry your shopping bags and stop using plastic ones.

As a very young girl I was always aware of litter and taught that, if I couldn't find a receptacle, I was to bring my litter home with me. Can't we all do this now? Let's make our city litter free.

I'm getting on towards 90 and hope to live to see a cleaner province before I die.
