Let's debate evolution facts

Reading comments by Ms Lockhart (Write Back, June 16), I would like to point out that we who believe the evolutionary theory do not regard this as a faith.

I also think she will find the Ulster Museum does not refer to Darwin's theory as fact. It is presented in museums around the world as the most likely theory as there is overwhelming evidence supporting this.

Creationism has only the Bible and some unsupported 'evidence'.

As for the "creationist voice, being held by a significant proportion of the people in Northern Ireland", I ask for her statistics and where she got them from.

I more than welcome a debate where I will be happy to present evidence as well as statistics on the views of the intelligent people of this country.
