Lough Neagh is a natural park

Published 31/08/2015

Fionola Meredith makes a sensible argument (August 28) that we need to protect our environment.

The DoE previously made a cack-handed and unsuccessful attempt to create one or more national parks in NI.

One wonders whether Lough Neagh and its environs might not be a suitable candidate as a national park, and one where the eel fisheries are a key feature of its management and leisure activities are encouraged and supported in a sustainable manner?
