Make a difference for families this christmas

Letters to the editor should be sent to: 124-144 Royal Avenue, Belfast BT1 1EB. E-mail: writeback@belfasttelegraph.co.uk

Foyle Women's Aid is appealing for financial support to provide an 'alternative' this Christmas for families in the Foyle Trust area, which includes Londonderry, Limavady, Strabane and Dungiven, who have suffered, or are still suffering, abuse in the home.

The trust would appreciate gifts of toys, books, clothes etc, for children of all ages, including teenagers and babies under two, as these age groups are sometimes forgotten about.

Alternatively, the trust would be happy to receive gift tokens/vouchers, cheques of any amount, large or small, for the families in the refuge and aftercare projects.

Ideally, we at the trust hope to receive donations in plenty of time for Christmas and this would enable the burden of going into debt to be lifted from the shoulders of the mums in our care. Your donation could make all the difference.
