JimmY McIlroy this week celebrates his 78th birthay and throughout Burnley arrangements are in place to mark the achievements of one of Northern Ireland's greatest footballers.
Jimmy has lived with his family in Burnley since his transfer from Glentoran during the 1950s. His service to both ‘The Clarets’ and Northern Ireland has been immense and he is still an idol to all at Turf Moor. Jimmy is probably one of the few sporting personalities who has not received official recognition for services. Hopefully this will be put right soon.
