Millions wasted on Royal visit

Once again we are witnessing the unveiling of a police state in rolling out the red carpet for the Royals.

This time on the streets of Dublin where there will be disruption to the everyday lives of its citizens. Far from bringing any sign of 'normality', any form of dissent is being silenced from the removing of political posters to the harassment and pre-dawn raids against any alleged opposition.

Millions being spent to protect such an archaic hereditary institution and bastion of class privilege and domination who have gained their wealth through conquest, in times of a recession, is indicative of what is wrong in our society today.

Let's hope the citizens of Dublin see through the smokescreen and whitewash being presented by mainstream media discourse and make sure the Queen, her Irish lackeys and the rotten system they represent get the send off they deserve.
