Misguided for taxpayers to fund mosque

Published 12/06/2014

I AM in deep shock, in fact outraged, at the thought of my (taxpayer) money being used to build a mosque.

David Ireland, in his letter (Write Back, June 9), stated the honest fact that all non-Christians (infidels) are persecuted without mercy by Muslims in their countries.

If taxpayers' money is to be used to fund a church, then it should be to help all of our Christian churches and fellowships.

I was brought up to believe that this was a Christian island. This foothold into Ireland is most unwelcome.
