MLAs beat the crunch

Eighteen months ago I warned the electorate of the waste of money being incurred by the Assembly. Funny how things come home to roost.

Is it too much to expect that the same will happen to many of the MLAs as occurs in business?

Will they be made redundant? Will they cut down on the millions of pounds being wasted on trips and expenses? With the expenses they get, they don't need free passes.

And then there’s the massive rentals to political parties for properties that only operate part time and are not subject to Valuation Office sanction. Oh, and by the way, what about the protected pensions they have, unlike the rest of society.

No credit crunch so far as the Executive and their cronies are concerned.
