Mother-in-law was looked after so well

While we constantly read bad press about nursing homes and the inadequate care elderly people receive, I would like to highlight the excellent care my mother-in-law, Hetty McClean, received in Edenmore Nursing Home in Whiteabbey.

She was resident there for 12 years and received excellent care and attention. She passed away peacefully, aged 104, on Friday, December 23. My husband, daughter and I had been sitting with her 24 hours a day during her final week and during this time we experienced such kindness from all the staff who could not do enough for us, bringing us food and sitting with us.

I have nothing but praise for all the staff under the leadership of manager, Ann Oliver, and I wish to say a very big thank you to all of them for all they did for my mother-in-law over 12 years.
