No-one is above the law, Mr Kelly

WELL done the person who filmed Gerry Kelly obstructing the police in the execution of their duty (News, June 25).

He deliberately put himself in front of the police vehicle – no doubt hoping that the police would emerge to face a mob of hate-faced morons.

These scenes are all the police need to bring charges against him – even if he is an MLA and member of the Policing Board.

That also goes for another MLA Caral Ni Chuilin.

They were elected to represent their constituents, but what a way to set an example.

It is now up to the police to bring Kelly before the courts and for him to be dealt with severely.
