Not too late for flight assurances

Published 03/06/2015

Arising from the agreed sale of Aer Lingus to the consortium which owns BA, the Dublin government has gained assurances about the flights from Dublin, Cork and Shannon to London.

In Northern Ireland, there are flights by BA to Heathrow and by Aer Lingus to both Heathrow and Gatwick. The Northern Ireland Executive has not got any assurances to retain flights to both Heathrow and Gatwick.

It is still not too late to pursue this requirement as the sale of Aer Lingus is not yet completed.
