Online Maria Miller petition true democracy

Published 15/04/2014

I SIGNED a petition on the web denouncing the illegal claiming of expenses by Maria Miller when the number of people that signed the petition had reached 50,000.

Checking the web the next day (as I do every day) I noticed the number had increased to 130,000, and later on in the day I heard that Maria Miller had resigned.

I cannot help but feel that this may be the beginning of true democracy, where there is no alteration to one's opinion and, more importantly, it gets full, global coverage for the world to see.
