Only coming up against a brick wall with LPS

I enjoyed reading your article concerning Land and Property Services (News, February 2). I am also having problems with LPS.

In 2009, they carried out an unrequested survey of my property and then reduced my capital value from £130,000 to £125,000.

However, the following day, they then increased my capital value from £125,000 to £150,000.

In the LPS rules, it states the capital value will not change unless you add to your property.

I queried this with LPS and was informed that the increase was due to two old extensions which were not on LPS records. I find this very strange as my property was inspected in 1994 when these extensions were in place.

Last December I wrote to them requesting answers to several queries that I had.

The reply stated I had exhausted their complaints procedure and that LPS will note and file any further correspondence, but will not acknowledge or respond. I find this attitude very worrying.
