Orange 'bashers' have own agenda

I WRITE in support of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland's recent statement concerning the visit by the head of the Roman Catholic Church to the UK.

The institution, which is unashamedly Protestant, would be less than true to its principles if it failed to comment on the visit of the Pope who, in 2007, reaffirmed his church's teaching that non-Roman Catholic denominations are "not true churches".

The statement simply sets out the Orange institution's opposition to the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

The hypocrisy of those who seek to wrongly brand the Orange institution as a bigoted 'Kick the Pope' irrelevancy exposes their 'Bash the Orange' at any price agenda, never allowing the truth to interfere with a good soundbite.
