Orange Order’s stance ‘illogical’

Published 04/10/2008

I have read with incredulity the revelation that the Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland, Robert Saulters, has corresponded with the president of Sinn Fein, Gerry Adams.

Does Mr Saulters not realise that by corresponding with someone you are giving recognition to that person?

If Mr Saulters, as Grand Master, can give recognition to the president of Sinn Fein, Gerry Adams, is it not now time that he and the Grand Lodge recognised the Parades Commission?

This most recent revelation is as illogical as it is hypocritical.
