Order met with SF before 2007
I AM somewhat confused by the WikiLeaks report (News, June 3) that the Orange Order was talking to Sinn Fein 'as far back as two years ago'.
The confusion arises as the date given for the report of US officials is November 2009, which would mean the alleged meetings took place in November 2007.
However, there was widespread coverage in the media, including the Belfast Telegraph, that the Orange leadership in Belfast had met with Sinn Fein representatives concerning the Whiterock parade in June 2005 - four years before that.
