Paisley's stand on taking office was cystal clear

Am I the only person in the province who had no problem understanding that the Rev Ian Paisley was making it crystal clear that he was not making any nomination for the post of First Minister designate?

Am I the only person in the province who had no problem understanding that Mr Paisley was making it crystal clear that the reason for this was that, despite the fact that Sinn Fein constantly blame him and the DUP for all and any delays in making progress, Sinn Fein were, as usual, expecting democrats to give everything while themselves alone gave nothing in return?

Am I the only person in the province who had no problem understanding that Mr Paisley was making it crystal clear that there he stood, line drawn in the sand, inviting Sinn Fein to give up support for criminality and share power with him as bona fide democrats, even though he personally would find the experience wholly distasteful? Surely not?
