Parties should fly flag for the economy

Unionism. Yes, that seemingly taboo word. "If I am a unionist, I must be sectarian" . Well, according to one political party, which supposedly owns the colour yellow.

But, no, it does not mean that at all; it is only a word to describe my support of the Union between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Is that so wrong? Is that sectarian? Those who use the word to their own ends are equally as bad. Unionist parties (or 'parties in support of the Union', as I would rather they were called) make it the defining issue.

Not the economy, not healthcare, not the environment, but a flag. It's time that politics was normalised along the lines of left and right – not divided by colours of green and orange.
