Parties should view themselves from other eyes

Published 01/04/2015

Now that the Westminster Parliament has been dissolved, the posturing has begun in earnest by Northern Ireland's mighty political few, waiting on the substitutes bench, hoping and praying for a hung parliament so they can swing into action with their hamper full of requests.

Maybe the leaders of the DUP and SDLP who are full of their own self-importance should take a step back and view politics from mainland Britain.

Do they honestly believe that any future Prime Minister with an ounce of sense would be foolish enough to dance a tune with the devil of political parties from Northern Ireland and allow them to put a governmental gun to their heads?
