Peace process doublespeak

Published 16/04/2013

THE 'peace process' is Sinn Fein-speak for 'progress towards a united Ireland'. If Gerry Adams, or Martin McGuinness, say this or that is opposed to the 'peace process', they mean that it risks damaging their all-Ireland project.

Sinn Fein has no interest in Northern Ireland succeeding as it diminishes their chance of achieving an all-island republic.
