People deserve rebate on rates

Belfast councillors are elected to represent the best interests of all our citizens through good community leadership and effective planning and decision-making.

However, the recent squabbling over flags and emblems has shown scant regard for the well-being of our people and has also negatively impacted on our hospitality and retail sectors.

Will the council, therefore, be granting a rates rebate for all those businesses whose activities have been severely damaged as a result of their poor leadership?
