PMS savers owe debt to Sir Reg Empey

The financial package to help the PMS savers announced by the Chancellor has brought relief to many.

According to the Secretary of State, Owen Paterson, the national Government has delivered the amount asked for by the Northern Ireland Executive.

The question is: did they seek enough funds to bring about a fair and just resolution for all? The proof will be in the final resolution as to how committed this Executive really are.

Savers should be grateful to Sir Reg Empey, his party colleagues and members of the House of Lords who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes for two years.

They are to be commended for their dedication, commitment and for helping to secure this financial package with the Conservative/ Lib Dem coalition.
