PSNI right to reject radio calls

Published 06/02/2013

Over the last while I have heard a local radio presenter getting "outraged" because the PSNI refused to provide a spokesperson for his radio programme.

I must say that as a tax, rates and licence fee payer I am delighted with the PSNI. They have enough on their hands doing their job and it is sufficient for me that they are accountable to the Policing Board and regulatory bodies.

Other public services should follow the example of PSNI and refuse to appear on such shows.
