Public transport on Boxing Day

Published 28/10/2013

I WOULD like to make a plea on behalf of non-drivers for public transport on Boxing Day.

Traders in Belfast city centre are always telling us how hard it is to keep trading in these hard economic times, so why, on what should be one of the best trading days of the year, is there no public transport.

People have cash in their pockets they received as Christmas presents.

Very few public services are given the luxury of Christmas closing. So why is this tolerated at Translink?
