Jim drummond (Write Back, July 25) writes about the fad for loud (mostly poor quality) live music in our bars.
I totally agree and, as of late, my friends and I are lucky to get past the first song before we either leave or go downstairs in one particular wine bar.
These guys make as much noise as a full blown concert.
Belfast City Council, to whom I have previously complained about noise levels in bars, informed me that the legislation is only for the employees and that I can vote with my feet if I don’t like it.
Not a lot of good if you and your friends have been spending a lot of money for a few hours before the ‘entertainment’ starts.
