Queen is entitled to visit Ireland
The forthcoming visit to Ireland by the Queen will, I hope, pass without any significant issue.
There is no doubt that the visit of the Queen will draw out the dwindling number in our society who define their Irishness by how anti-British they are.
Considering the huge interdependence that exists between both economies, it is imperative that the relationship between Ireland and Britain be as cordial and warm as it can possibly be - especially in these economically-troubled times.
The Queen is as entitled - if not more entitled - as any head of state to visit our shores.
