Queen's hand of friendship sets great example
HERE again we have Her Majesty the Queen in Northern Ireland, doing the rounds and once more meeting the Deputy First Minister.
The Queen has lost a close family member, Lord Mountbatten, and like many here can be considered a victim of the Troubles, yet here she is extending the hand of friendship and promoting reconciliation by her visits and gestures in Ireland. Nobody is saying we forget the past, just that we try harder to follow her example.
It would be gratifying if those who proclaim their undying loyalty to her were to lead the way.
