According to Alf McCreary (September 12), those without faith in God fail to understand what faith is.
Having faith in faith is to argue in a circle. The premise is simply assumed to be true regardless.
It would be equally wrong for an atheist to say, “You must have faith that there is no God, then you will know that atheism is true.”
This is precisely the sort of faulty logic that Mr McCreary is using in relation to God’s existence. Faith is true because he believes it to be true.
