Rail Equality asked (Write Back, September 4), after the success of the special trains to Snow Patrol in Bangor last week (which carried over 7,000 concert-goers), will BBC Proms-goers to Carrickfergus this Saturday also be receiving special services?

The answer is 'yes - of course'.

Our normal rail service runs half-hourly to Carrickfergus and three additional trains will depart Great Victoria Street at 6.30pm, 7pm and 7.30pm.

Coming back, the last scheduled train is at 11pm from Carrickfergus. There will then be three extra trains departing at 11.10pm, 11.20pm and 11.30pm.

Full information is on www.translink.co.uk , where you can check stop/express details and car parking.

From Snow Patrol to Puccini, the train caters for all tastes! I hope a great night is had by all.
