I wish to correct Eamonn McCann when he writes (September 13) that 'Translink's submission to the DRD for the comprehensive spending review (CSR) contains zero for the line between Coleraine and Derry'.
This is not the case.
Translink's submission to the CSR is taken from an economic appraisal which includes provision for the upgrading of the line between Coleraine and Derry and for enhanced services in terms of additional capacity, enhanced frequency and shorter journey times.
