Re-play put Ferris well in the clear

It would appear that Kevin Myers either did not watch the Ireland-v-Wales match or at least the replay of the Stephen Ferris incident (Comment, February 10).
Ferris was exonerated - his was not a tip-tackle. Look at the replay and you can see that he, too, is almost horizontal when Ian Evans hits the ground.
It would appear the ref again bottled it. Having penalised Davis for an incident he didn't see, he decided that it would be 'fair' if he penalised Ferris for a 'bad' tackle.
It seems strange that the rugby boards are happy to use video evidence for the try-no-try situation, but not for other incidents which can have a similar overall result on the game.
