Republicans back to their old tricks

Familiar old patterns are starting to show themselves again with what appears to be a return to old habits by republicans.

There is currently political deadlock on a range of issues and, once again, republican frustrations have spilled over into aggression with bombs in the post.

Surely, we have seen all this before when there has been very little progress on political matters. Northern Ireland is most definitely heading back to the bad days of old.

The bomb has indeed returned and if it were not for modern methods of detection by advanced equipment that was not available previously, arguably Northern Ireland would be in the position it was at the height of the Troubles.

Those who are attempting to kill people are amoral and have desensitised themselves to an extreme level.
